Samhain Set Dancing Ceílí with Tea & Biscuits Potluck

We’re starting to build a set dancing community here at McTeggart!

Join us for a Samhain Set Dancing Ceílí with Tea & Biscuits Potluck on Saturday, November 2, starting at 5-8pm. We will celebrate the start of the Celtic season of winter (Samhain - SOW-inn) with dancing! Following the style of set dancing ceílithe held in Ireland, we invite you to bring biscuits (cookies) and tea to share.

Participants with DanceStudio Pro accounts can have their accounts charged for the event. Folks can also pay $10 at the door!

See you November 2!

What to wear: Wear comfortable clothes for dancing and shoes with smooth or leather soles. Rubber-soled shoes with treads tend to stick on our floor, and aren’t terribly fun for dancing!

What to expect: We are building our set dancing skills! Some of the dances are better-known to the dancers, and others are not. If you’re a complete beginner, please join us. You’ll be supported through better-known dances by experienced dancers, and you’ll learn less familiar dances along with everyone else. You don’t need a partner, though you’re welcome to bring one.
