Bealtaine Céilí: May 2
We’re building a set dancing community here at McTeggart! We’d love for you to join us to dance throughout the Celtic year.
2025-2026 Celtic Year Schedule
Samhain (Winter): October 25, 2025, 5:30-8PM
Imbolc (Spring): January 31, 2026, 4-6:30PM
Bealtaine (Summer): May 2, 2026, 6-8:30PM (We will pause to watch the Derby!)
Lúnasa (Fall): stay tuned for the date!
Following the style of set dancing céilithe held in Ireland, we invite you to bring biscuits (cookies) or a savory snack to share.
Participants with Studio Pro accounts may have their accounts charged for the event. Folks can also pay $10 at the door by cash, check Venmo, or Paypal.
See you on the dance floor!
What to wear: Wear comfortable clothes for dancing and shoes with smooth or leather soles. Rubber-soled shoes with treads tend to stick on our floor, and aren’t terribly fun for dancing!
What to bring: Snack to share. If you’re a musician, bring your instrument!
What to expect: We are building our set dancing skills! Some of the dances are better-known to the dancers, and others are not. If you’re a complete beginner, please join us. You’ll be supported through better-known dances by experienced dancers, and you’ll learn less familiar dances along with everyone else. You don’t need a partner, though you’re welcome to bring one.
