Welcome to the world of Irish Dance! In the McTeggart School, you will find a fun and friendly group of people, along with opportunities to perform, compete, and have fun! The McTeggart SchoolThe McTeggart School of Irish Dance was established in Cork, Ireland, in 1939. The first director was Peg McTeggart, the eldest of four sisters, all of them champion Irish dancers. One sister, Maureen McTeggart Hall (ADCRG, TCRG), emigrated to the United States in 1958. Mrs. Hall began teaching dance in 1976 in Denver, where she lived at the time. Mrs. Hall now lives in Fresno, California, where she has a school. She travels to teach dancers at her other schools in Lexington, Oklahoma City, Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Salt Lake City and New Orleans. Mrs. Hall has been chairman of the Western Region, a vice- president of the Irish Dancing Commission and a frequent adjudicator at the North American, All-Ireland and World Championships.
